Job Description:
An Assistant Plant Manager's job is to support the Plant Manager in overseeing and managing various plant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production while maintaining safety and quality standards. They typically assist with personnel management, oversee plant maintenance, and contribute to cost reduction efforts.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Operations Management:*

Assist in coordinating and supervising plant operations, including manufacturing, packaging, inventory, and distribution.

*Personnel Management:*
Manage direct reports, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Assist in coordinating maintenance and repair activities, including emergency repairs and facility inspections.

*Cost Management:*
Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs, focusing on efficient utilization of resources.
*Quality & Safety:*
Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
*Capital Planning:*
Contribute to the development and management of the plant's capital budget and projects.
*Reporting:*
Prepare and submit regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, quality, production, costs, and project status.
*Training & Development:*
Develop and implement training programs for plant employees, including technical training and career development opportunities.
*Interdepartmental Coordination:*
Support coordination of plant activities with other departments to achieve manufacturing objectives.
*Community Relations:*
Maintain good relationships with the local community.

*Required Skills and Experience:*
-Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
-Several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
-Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
-Understanding of budget management and cost control principles.
-Experience with project management and process improvement initiatives.
 
Budget: 15 to 16 LPA
Experience: 12 to 15 years experience in heavy manufacturing - Pressure Vessel, Process Equipment, Tanks etc
